The Effects of Alcohol on Quality Mortality

A lot of the epidemiology of ethanol points back to this idea of a J curve. A J curve suggests that at zero alcohol, there's some mortality and as you increase alcohol, mortality goes down until it hits a minimum then starts to really go up. We know that there are certain genes that basically prevent people from drinking alcohol.
