The environmentalist movement comes under a lot of flack for its middle classism. What we need is, and this is what de-growth brings to the table, is a direct attack on the production system. This system is driving both inequality, impoverishment, and ecological breakdown. And I think that's the kind of narrative that the environmental movement needs to shift to.
