Pre-Election, Your Best Year for the Market
Republican Congresses and Democratic presidents have been the best combination for market returns with the Dow. The seasonal pattern, we call it aggregate cycle, really traces out quite well. I think he's going to get some help from the Fed this year by backing off or at least laying off the accelerator on the tightening. After a bear market, a midterm bear market, you see pre-election years up about 20%.
