Australian journalist Catherine Murphy talks about why the Australian media missed it. She says she and other women had accepted that their standpoint when they were doing all of that was supposed to be the neutral observer. That's what they'd been taught a journalist was. But if they ever reacted to things as a woman, seeing it as a woman,. they suppressed that because that was kind of not the neutral observer standpoint. So they thought it was wrong. And how one of the things that's happened since the misogyny speech is women journalists are now much more knowing about all of this. Much more prepared to write visibly, demonstrably from the standpoint of being a woman about what they're seeing.
