The Confusion About Evidence-Based Medicine

In 2008, surgical oncologist David Gorsky and neurologist Stephen novella started writing about a problem with evidence-based medicine. Their stance is that alternative medicine has in recent times been wrongly accepted by some academics and doctors. In each of those cases, creating studies and reporting their results amount to what Gorsky and novella refer to as testing whether magic works. And then people who want to can tout any chance positives that arise as scientific evidence.
