Is There a Right to Counsel?

The court says that it would not have made a difference if she had counsel or not, because the weight of the evidence showed that she was not interested in parenting the child. The entire point of due process is that everyone gets it no matter what you think the result would be. A i think an uninterested parent does not fight custody battles up to the supreme court. It's insane to just say, like, a lawyer wouldn't have mattered here because the evidence against her was too great.
