i don't think i really started under anding the idea of segregation until i began learning about it. It was just like, here is my safe black neighborhood where all my people are. And i think there are a lot of communities that are still very segregated in some way. To live inside the village and community we've created takes a certain amount of work and openness that i think people still aren't willing to do.
