In 2005, you were invited to speak at a conference in Maine. A talent scout asked if you would record some videos of you explaining big history. And sometime later in his home gym in Washington, Bill begins watching your lectures. At this stage, you're teaching at San Diego State University; he has one of his people reach out to you and arranges a meeting.
