Leonardo: I was doing my PhD and we had just done this experiment where we took bucket balls and sent them through double slit experiment to show that they actually behave as waves. And so I was looking, I just met this woman who was now his wife and she was doing her neuroscience research in the United States. She said, how about GFP, this green fluorescent protein? And I had no idea what she was talking about. So I looked it up on Google,. which was brand new that year. And I saw the structure and I was completely blown away by that image because it I felt it was like the missing link between our warm organic bodies with mathematical aesthetics of the single molecule
