Conental's Failure to Survive
Conental lost $95 million in 2001, more than $400 million in 2002. How close was Conental to going under? It wasn't the end of the world, but I could see it from where I was. We were able to graze some private equity to restructure some debt. And we were one of the only airlines that got through that whole thing with no bankruptcy.
