How to Fix a Laptop Burnout
For the first roughly two years that Dell started putting m.2 drives and it's Alienware and Precision Mobile Workstation laptops, I actually ended up just preemptively buying SATA solid state drives from the factory. There's a reason these are called gumsticks because they're just going to get thrown in the garbage and then step on. The routing for these to put them in weird places on the motherboard,. like between the PCI E slots is getting worse. And it's very fiddly to install. They're not hot swappable.
