The Tingles of ASMR

More than half of American adults say that they're lonely. The popularity of ASMR seems to suggest that our particular brand of loneliness is reaching into the primal parts of our being. We cannot bypass the physical aspect of who we are without doing damage, both to our personal and to our collective humanity. God made us for a relationship. He gave us bodies to mediate and facilitate those relationships. That should trigger in us chills, not tingles.
