Jason Snell: I don't think Apple cares enough about Intel like to want to leave one around just for that, you know, safety's sake or what have you. The Mac mini left this weird gap in the lineup when the Mac studio did come out, right? Because you could buy an M one and it would be close to a thousand dollars more than another model. There's nothing in that area at all in Apple Silicon, which will always felt weird.
