James left his family to go look for help, which must have been the most difficult decision he had ever made in his entire life. And so after leaving them behind, he walked three miles up the road they came in on. He deviated and walked down one of the cliffs until he hit a river. It's believed that maybe he saw the river from up on the road and thought that would be a faster way to get to galis. But either way, he got down to the river.
