How to Be a Successful Comedian

I didn't realise how necessary it is to have artists in the family or creatives. When you know someone who scrapes by from gigging or selling their work, it does open up the fact that it's possible. And then with comedy, much more than lots of other forms, you can earn money at it after a few years - which is very rare.
