Comparative Adjectives - When Do We Use Them?

We use comparative adjectives when we compare two people or two things. They often go together, older and wiser. Add er to adjectives when the word is short. For example, I could say Valencia is hotter than London. So I take the word hot and I add er to the end. And Belfast is wetter than Valencia. Wetter. H-O-T, hot, W-E-T, wet. You usually double the final consonant and then you add the er.
