The Overlap Between Autistic Youth and Gender Dysphoric Youth

There is a substantial overlap with children who present on the autism spectrum. Some have offered that as an explanation for why there's so much overlap between autistic youth and gender dysphoric youth. What percentage of people in the study were reported to have autism spectrum conditions? 6.5% of the natal females and 13.3% of males were reported by their parents to have a formal diagnosis of autism.
