Why Bitcoin Consumes So Much Energy?
Bitcoin is consuming a lot of energy because somebody believes it's worth it. People are storing their wealth in Bitcoin and so there's clearly value that they find in it. Ultimately, there's basically nobody on the internet who can live without hydrocarbons. If you want to live modern life where surviving winter is something that you can count on, you're going to need this amount of high energy.
