I've been working in and around technology for 20 plus years now my academic background a very long time ago was in computer science. When I also studied a lot of the kind of AI stuff that's particularly prominent in the latest book Ways of Being. Much of the maths is still the same as it was then but the massive change has been in data and processing essentially which are also symptoms of the same thing.
