The search of marilago was based on information that the fbi received directly from a confidential source who was able to identify which classified documents trump hiding. The officials also said that the search was timed for when trump would be away from marilago because they didn't want him to use it as some kind of photoop or turn it into a media circus. But totally understand theyir instinct. There like years of trump legal drama ahead of us, if not decades.
