Is Race Underrated or Overrated in Politics?

Eric Kaufman: Race as a sort of second order, a part of an ideology is extremely important for politics. He says the issue around Black Lives Matter cuts more deeply than that because it really twigs into a lot of attitudinal predictors of voting one way or the other. And so, for example, attitudes to crime, attitudes to affirmative action, attitudes to essentially the ideology I would call cultural socialism are implicated in Black Lives Matter.
