The Relationship Between Hegel and the Cambridge School of Political Thought

Hegel's interest in politics is an interest in the history of the development of human social and political norms over time. So whilst I was interested in that as a primary subject matter in Hegel himself it also raised the question of how does our modernity relate to his modernity? It has seemed to me generally that with reference to what's called the Cambridge school there has long been a tension between historicism and buried treasure or the idea that one will recover valuable norms for the past.
