The Black Mountain Exhibition
The Black Mountain exhibition was one of the most extraordinary exhibitions of the last 10 years. I do have to say that in not out of sheer formality, but I really owe you the occasion mandates that. There are two people if you would ask me in the middle of the night who formed me in many ways. Rudolph Zwilner taught me how to see in a way that no art historian in the university ever taught mehow to see. Rosalind Krauss made me decide to move to America because at that time in Europe there was not a single art historian writing on those practices and led alone developing theoretical models.
