Adam: I was the third girl born and my dad really wanted a boy. My parents didn't even have a girl's name picked out all they had was a boy's name when I was born. There was this place where it's like I want to be one of these boys, he says. Adam: So many of the pivotal stories of our lives begin with a rising desire for something can you say some about maybe even how is it that a girl gets to sixth grade without having a sense of a desire to belong?
