Wati Scathing's Story

After high school, Wati Scathing's family moved from a Chicago neighborhood with low economic mobility to a more upwardly mobile neighborhood in Arizona. In meetings, she was usually the only black person in the room and then shortly after she moved to Salt Lake City, COVID happened. "For the first time, I had to deal with my own escape of what it meant to be an African-American woman in the United States"
