The Importance of Testing for an Autistic Neurotype
The research around autism and other neurodivergences was primarily male-based back in the day. Women are often allowed to have their idiosyncrasies, they're allowed to be the genius who's doing their own thing,. whereas men are taught from a very young age that we have to kind of conform. So I think being really mindful of how someone is testing for an autistic neurotype particularly as an adult woman is really important.
