The White House Plans to Shut Down the COVID Response Team After the Official Public Health Emergency Declaration Ends on May 11th
As many as 14.7 million adults and 7.3 million people under the age of 19 will lose their health care coverage, some of them as soon as Saturday. We're going to look at why we do Medicaid like this, what Medicaid is, why abruptly kicking people off of Medicaid or hopping on and off called churn is part of how this program works. And ultimately, there's a lot to cover, but this is a great way to think about our current political economy of health.
