Jeejak theorizes a permanent state of violence because he identifies violence with our subjectivity. The real difficulty of Jeejak acts lies not in the physical courage it might require, but in the psychic barrier standing in the way. Todd's whole thing is that subjectivity is the paradigm for how we should conduct ourselves as political agents.
