The History of Indian Cinema
Ranita Chatterjee is a senior lecturer in film studies at the University of Exeter. She says there are other sides to Indian cinema, not just Bollywood as we know it. The world does tend I think to think of Indian cinema in that Bollywood tradition. But you have a rich and non-trivial tradition of cinema coming from Bombay which is where Bollywood is sort of reduced to Bombay cinema.
