Cross-Border CBDC - What Are the Similarities and Differences?

The report compares three projects of the hub plus an earlier project between the central banks of Hong Kong and Thailand. All these projects focused on wholesale CBDC, the one used by financial institutions. To make them work across borders, they all chose the novel model which is the common platform. This common platform was based on distributed ledger technology or DLT. It can make cross-border payments faster, cheaper and more transparent.
