Is Twitter Making a Thousand Calls to RPCs?

Elon Musk tweeted that the app is doing more than a thousand poorly bashed RPCs just to render a home timeline. "I'm not like so, you know, disgustingly shocked by it," he said of Twitter's slow response times in some countries. The company has been working on rolling out its new service for several weeks but still doesn't have an official website or mobile app yet.
