The Cost of Long-Term Care
Fidelity does a study every year where they calculate how much a 65-year-old retiring couple would need to pay for health care. The most recent numbers are for 2022, and it's about $300,000. A big part of that expense is going to be things like long-term care because Medicare does not cover nursing home care.
