The Problem With Solana's Archive Nodes

Solana nodes storing like all the current account states and about an epoch of data that quantifies into what like tens or hundreds of gigabytes of data on the actual machine. I guess I don't immediately see a problem with just trusting archive nodes but is the issue that because it gets more and more expensive especially for these high throughput chains like Solana to store all that history? Are we for Genesis Go like a solution that's like literally thinking about if you have petabytes of data how do we start distribute this around a bunch of other nodes so that you can call it up and get it back, he asks.
