What Happened to the Vampire Movies?
In the sixties, early seventies, vampire movies got very sexy. They were taking everything else as well. You now, over in europe, we had jean roland, who ive mentioned, who was the king of those sort of weird, experimental lesbian vampire films. These were far more explicit than anything tha we were getting here. In america, they were going off in a new direct. They were draging the vampire into the twentieth century and largely into urban settings.
