Ruth: We are seeing this push to really get to the point where we can understand the compensable factors that we are using to drive pay because I don't think we've intentionally always focused on those. You know now we're having to not only post ranges in in in pay ranges in job adverts but also communicate with employees more openly about how their pay has been determined, she says. Ruth: There's an awful lot of subjectivity in making compensation decisions and so at least if we can get to a base level where you know the basic factors are kind of being taken into account when you get to a pay decision then it will be better.
