ExxonMobil shares put in their best week ever, jumping more than 17% in one five-day period that October. The oil major just miss beating that record, closing out the week with a gain of almost 16%. Exxon was kicked out of the Dow in 2000 when sentiment was so low; it's now buying back debt and its dividend is secured at $45 oil.
