What Lessons Are Reliable From the String Theory Story?
In the 80s and 90s developed these string theories that could in fact plausibly describe a universe. People naturally eventually started to come around to like, huh, that's weird. What lessons are reasonable to draw from that story when it comes to trying to kind of make some rough, reasonable prediction of what we might be able to figure out in the next few years or decades? We don't really have any alternatives either.
