Podcasts Aren't Going to Be the Thing That Saves Spotify
The podcast industry existed a long time before Spotify and people got used to the way that things are done. I think podcasts will remain a part of their strategy, but they're going to rethink it. They spend so much money back to the music licensing that there's not a lot of profit or any profit that can be run out of it. But the podcast strategy seems to have been not the right one.
