LORD MAYOR: A Leader in the City of Melbourne

The role of Melbourne mayor is much broader and deeper than I had imagined. The stunning breadth of what we get involved in has really, really surprised me. One of the big revelations is that leadership is necessary all the time so whether you feel you're prepared for it or not you need to really back yourself  and step in regardless. This experience has certainly shown me that.
