How to Grow Cottony Seaweed in the Deeper Waters
The milela zanzibar foundation has trained over 70 female farmers to swim. One benefit is that in the deeper water, with stable, cooler temperature, you can grow a more valuable type of seaweed called cottony. Cottony is priced higher because it contains more caraginan, which is found in lots of food and toilet trees. It only grows in water that's less than 30 degrees celsius.
