Stars Get Closer Together
In our neighborhood, the stars are pretty diffused. If we had another star as bright as our sun that was half a light year away, we would see it during the daytime. So you could see another sun that was like 0.4 light years away. And in the center of the galaxy, that does happen. It's kind of crazy down there.
