Evangelicalism's Reshaping of the Gospel
Evangelicalism's evangelism has always been designed to preach a message in such a way that it compels a human to make a decision about themselves before an all holy God. In reshaping gospeling, particular elements of a message have been featured and those elements are drawn more from Soteriology than the Apostolic Gospel. This rhetorical bundling, I'm arguing, is what evangelicals call the gospel. The best place to begin is 1st Corinthians 15. It is now ours to figure out how to preach the gospel Jesus and the apostles preached.
