Ames and Hall's Confucius Translation
Theo Marx: I tend to read the text as a much more cynical mirror for princes. Ames and Hall had to say pretty early on, let me just pick up my old translation that I read in undergrad. The whole book is like, it's a two hour audiobook. It's like a short thing. But if you read it with all this commentary, it's like 300 pages in the Ames and Hall version of the text.
