What Takes You to South Africa for 10 Years?

In the 90s, I left being Imam and a Jami mosque after five years. The administrations become like these Middle Eastern governments,. In the Jami mosque, we had a revolution, actually. And it was real Middle Eastern government. That's right. So we broke away. And so we formed a community center. And we also had a social service center. It was the first Islamic social service center, probably in North America that was recognized by the government. This is not the typical Hanafi Indo-Pakistani Muslim you may know from South Africa. But when I came to Cape Town, Subhan Allah, I said, this is my home Cape Town is a unique place.
