The Pervasiveness of Private Equity in the United States

We really do need to know how pervasive private equity is in this country. It's very hard to find that information out. Consumers can't make the right decisions if they don't know who owns these companies. The FTC is starting to look into private equity in that way. I think DOJ is starting to... This is an area that has just been left to grow with very little oversight.
