The two party duopole that we've been living with is really just an invention. The parties have made it so that politics has become much more about tribes than about policy. 83 % of congressional seats were already effectively decided in the primary, because they're overwhelmingly democrats and republicans. To whomever the partyis nominee is somust guaranteed to win. And not only does that disefranchise millions of americans from real choice, it is distorting our representation in is fuelling division in our polit.
