The Absolute Nothingness of Objects
Nishida's bashals have this kind of embedded structure. You can think of sets within sets, subsets and subsets. And there is a biggest bashal, which is the thing which contains all objects of any kind. Is it the ultimate reality? Yes. Now, this is where he draws on the zenthal. Z-time move, absolute reality, because there's nothing bigger. It contains everything. What makes it absolute is that there's absolutely nothing outside it. This is in some sense the ground of every object. Because every object is an object precisely because it resides in this bashal. But if you could characterize it, there had to be something that stands outside
