The Cost of Capital in the Economy
Dean Obeidallah: This is not 1931 with everybody rushing to hide their money under the mattress. He says people are reallocating funds away from smaller regional banks to some extent into big banks, apparently into money market funds. "There's a lag in the impact of when rates go up, suddenly all of our cost of capital goes up," he says.
