The Anxiety of the End

I think the problem with the with the end is that we are afraid of the middle. I love this line from March Simpson and possibly the best Simpsons episode: Maggie has Mr Burns is bear Bobo. The ending that happened is the only ending there was ever going to be. But it produces the fantasy of an alternative ending, which is always more satisfying because it's not actual. It happens a lot to like I'm in some ways I'm glad none of you really play video games because like I detest the idea that I might have to identify as a gamer.
