I think in engineering, we constantly have this trade off sometimes of scalability and reliability versus just getting shit done. I like to think of startups as having like a certain number of bets that they can make. You're basically doomed unless you guess right because not all your bets are going to pay off. And so I think both with shipping software and with process, I think it's really good to be incremental in your approachBecause that basically gives you more bets. Instead of, you know, four bets, you get maybe 12 or 16 bets that you can make. Each of them is a little bit smaller but you learn from each of them and it makes your bet bets better.
